Yesterday, I was thinking about what to do with leftover yarn and the tub of acrylic yarn that I have. I decided to knit mitered squares with my leftover yarn. So, I started with some leftover sock yarn:
I then started a 2 color one but I will post a picture tomorrow.
Today has been a quiet day so far. Since Tyler did not have summer school, I got to sleep in. I also went to the post office and grocery. I was supposed to stop by 711 for my dh but I forgot 
I’ll run in later.
Yesterday, I worked on my Admas shawl and my sock. I got the heel turned on the sock so now I have to finish the leg. I’m going to work on it more this afternoon.
Today is also my brother’s 36th birthday. Happy Birthday Mike!
I’m going to try to start posting in the morning or early afternoon. If I wait until evening, a lot of times I’m tired and don’t want to write.
Last night I stayed up until 2 am working on my Adamas shawl. I finished the 5th repeat and started on the 6th. I love this pattern and think it’s a great first lace project.
I’m using Malabrigo Lace yarn with Addi turbo Lace needles in size 5.
I also worked on my current sock. I’m using Knitpicks Felici in the Martinique colorway. I’m using Addi Turbo needles in size 1 and am getting approximately 8.5 stiches per inch. I’m using 2 24″ needles. I really like this yarn and after my last sock in Sockotta, it is very soft.
Today was a nice quiet day. I worked on my current dishcloth, socks, and now am going to work on my lace shawl. I’ll try to write more tomorrow.
For the most part this was a quiet weekend. I did finish my socks and started another pair. I’ll write more tomorrow.
I’ve been knitting my socks on 2 circulars using a 16″ and a 24″ needle. Today, I decided that I really do not like the 16″ needle. The problem is that the needle is shorter than the 24″ and my hand is just too big. It’s the same reason I don’t like to eat anything but a salad with a salad fork. A salad fork is just too small for my hand. So, tomorrow, I will be going to my lys to get another 24″ size 1 circular needle.
Today was the first day of summer school for Tyler. He was a little nervous but he had a good time. As he got off the bus, several of the kids waved and called out goodbye to him.
It was chilly today so I started a knit shrug. I have a crocheted one that I made in a open pattern. However, I want one that will actually keep my arms warm. So, I started a top down, raglan style one. It will be like a mini sweater.
I finally broke down and bought a pair of sock blockers. I bought them on ebay from chappywoman. Her store is Chappy’s Fiber Arts and Crafts I am very pleased with them. They shipped promptly and arrived quickly in excellent condition. I would highly recommend them.
Mine have the cutout of a ball of yarn with knitting needles stuck through. My logo has that too so I couldn’t resist.

I have felt tired all day today. I took a nap this afternoon. I didn’t get much knitting done.
I’m at a frustrating point in my Adamas shawl. I’m at the end of the 4th repeat and I have to keep frogging it. I’m getting ready to go work on it and hopefully I will make some progress.
I had a nice quiet weekend. I didn’t get anything done on my shawl but am making good progress on my socks. I’ll post a picture tomorrow.
